海地爆發暴力反政府示威，抗議政府遲遲不舉行大選後，總理拉蒙塞宣布辭職。

示威者要求總統馬泰利與拉蒙塞均須辭職。

馬泰利原計畫2011年舉行大選，因選舉法僵持不下而延誤，反對黨指控馬泰利想藉行政命令繼續執政。國會任期明年1月屆滿，若不舉行大選，馬泰利將根據行政命令持續執政。
