OPPO的母公司是步步高視聽，同門步步高通訊旗下品牌Vivo在2004年開始推出手機產品。
OPPO一直做MP3、藍光機在業界非常出色，2008年正式推出手機。
產品一直走精品路線不低價，所以在中國市場銷量排名不靠前。

但2013年中國手機盈利排名前三是：小米30億人民幣，OPPO 26億，Vivo 20億。

OPPO手機一直是全球銷售，Youtube可以看到很多西方人的評測。

OPPO進入臺灣市場，Vivo應該也快了。
Vivo的硬體Hi-Fi效果很贊，產品全是白色最簡單的設計，個人認為質感比OPPO還要好。
（品牌沒有造型設計變化也算是業界異類）
