【短片】美「自殺橋」　加裝防護欄

【綜合報導】美國奧勒岡州波特蘭市內，有一座維斯塔橋(Vista Bridge)，但這座橋也是當地知名的「自殺橋」，經過當地居民多年陳情，前天當地政府終於為這座橋加裝防護欄。

維斯塔橋興建於1926年，但卻常傳出自殺事件。光是從2004~2011年間，共有13人從維斯塔橋跳下死亡。而今年從維斯塔橋跳下身亡的自殺案件，累計已有4件。由於這座橋是當地重要交通要道，因此居民不斷向政府陳情，希望能加裝防護欄，以改善自殺率。

前天防護欄工程終於開始動工，加裝高度約2.7公尺的臨時防護欄，約耗資23.6萬美元(約新台幣707萬元)。
