立委候選人卓伯源25日下午在有警界鐵漢之稱的新北市副市長侯友宜陪同，在員林火車站附近掃街拜票，沿途大受民眾歡迎，商家與逛街民眾均表達支持之意，紛紛拿出手機要求合照，爭相握手，展現兩人超高人氣及親和力。

侯友宜相當推崇卓伯源在縣長任內將彰化治理相當成功，各項治安績效評比都是全國第一是安全城市，吸引如Google等國際知名大企業放心在彰化投資設廠，有這麼好績效的縣長、這麼認真的縣長、這麼優質人才，務必要支持他進到立法院。

卓伯源表示，過去擔任立委期間就與時任刑事警察局局長的侯友宜就認識，選舉期間侯友宜多次表達關心選情，今天因緣成熟能夠由警界鐵漢陪同拜票，猶如獲得百萬雄軍，對於獲得勝選更加有信心，也懇求鄉親的支持，讓他繼續為彰化服務。
